How to Ask for Less Sweetness in Thai Drinks

     If you're traveling to Thailand and trying out the local drinks, you may find that many of them are quite sweet. This is a common characteristic of Thai beverages, but if you prefer your drinks on the less sweet side, there's a simple way to let your server know. Just say  หวานน้อย "Wan-Noi" to request less sweetness in your drink.      When ordering at a restaurant or street food stall, simply say "Wan-Noi" to the server or bartender. This translates to "less sweet" in Thai, and they will adjust the sweetness of your drink accordingly.      It's important to note that "Wan-Noi" is not a request for no sugar at all. The sweetness of Thai drinks often comes from the combination of different ingredients, such as sugar syrup, coconut milk, and honey, among others.
